Fitness YinYang classes are 48-minute exercises conducted on hydraulic resistance machines, helping members build muscle mass and improve endurance; cooling down 10-minute stretches are performed while standing or on the floor, assisting members to increase flexibility, coordination, balance, and stability.
The Pilates reformer and mat classes are 45 minutes long and offer all the benefits of Pilates, including overall strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance, leading to daily life improvements like better posture, efficient movements, and relief from the pain associated with physical imbalances. Exercises are performed on the reformer equipment in a variety of configurations or on the mat.
Introduction to Gyro is a 50-minute class performed on a chair and a mat. It's a unique system of exercises that incorporates movement principles from yoga, dance, gymnastics, swimming and t'ai chi. Gyro aims to correct dysfunctional muscular and skeletal patterns while enhancing movement efficiency. It does this through slow to moderate repetitions and continuous tension through movement. It works the spine through its full range of motion with arching, curling, and twisting, using flow and rhythm coordinated with the breath.
Flow Yoga Stretching is a 50-minute yoga class that involves holding passive poses for longer periods. It is slower-paced and more meditative than other styles of yoga. It aims to stimulate the connective tissues and the subtle energy channels in the body. It is not from China but derived from classical Hatha yoga.
Zumba dance is a 45-minute cardio class that involves a workout of the entire body.

Who am I?
I'm Olga Healey, owner of the Fitness YinYang Balance studio/gym, with qualified diplomas in Exercise Therapy and Kinesiology, Pilates, and practising Gyro and Yin Yoga.
As I reflect on my journey in creating Fitness YinYang Balance, I can't help but feel a sense of pride and excitement. My vision is to incorporate fitness exercises from hydraulic resistance machines to Pilates reformers, Gyro and Yoga to trampolines and Zumba dance that enhance workouts and give a variety of exercises.
Hydraulic resistance machines have truly transformed our approach to strength training. With adjustable resistance levels from 1 to 6, we can tailor exercises to target all major muscle groups effectively. This versatility allows everyone to find their optimal challenge.
In addition to strength training, I've introduced Pilates reformers to improve both strength and flexibility. This addition has been pivotal in helping members achieve better posture and core strength while also offering a unique approach to stretching that traditional methods often overlook.
Understanding the importance of balance and coordination, I’ve also integrated trampolines into our routine. They not only make workouts fun but also enhance agility and stability, which are crucial for overall fitness.
To structure our weekly classes, here’s how I’ve organised the schedule:
- Monday: Cardio Focus
Kickstart the week by building a strong foundation with targeted cardio workouts.
- Tuesday: Arms and Legs & Zumba Fun
A combination of dumbbell workouts, yoga blocks, Pilates magic rings, Pilates balls, and elastic bands ensures a comprehensive approach to upper and lower body strength. Zumba fun with Sharnee is at 5.30 PM.
- Wednesday: Balance Day & Pilates Reformer
Utilising balance boards, trampolines, and Pilates reformers, these classes emphasise stability and coordination. Don't forget the Pilates reformer classes are at 7.00 AM and 4.00 PM.
- Thursday: Stretching Day & Zumba Dance
This day is all about recovery and flexibility, featuring the Pilates reformer at 7.00 AM and the lively Zumba class with Ivanna to energise everyone at 9.00 AM and 5.30 PM.
- Friday: Core, Flexibility & Pilates Reformer
We incorporate Pilates foam rollers, balls, yoga blocks, and magic circles to enhance core stability while promoting flexibility. The Pilates reformer classes are at 7.00 AM and 10.00 AM.
- Saturday: Full Body Workout & Zumba Fun
A mix of everything ensures a well-rounded workout experience, culminating in a fun Zumba dance session with Sharnee at 9.00 AM.
Every day includes the hydraulic resistance machines, ensuring that our members can maintain a consistent strength-building routine.
