Terms and Conditions

Taekwondo Canberra

By becoming a member of Taekwondo Canberra, you agree to adhere to the following terms and conditions:

1. Taekwondo Canberra operates a year round program and payments are made every week, fortnight, month or quarter depending on your agreed payment method or until a cancellation is made.

2. Confirmation of enrolment: All enrolments should receive a Members Portal Login with a link & pin number to access their profile to make & cancel bookings as well as purchase other products. You will also receive a welcome email. If you do not, do not hesitate to contact us by phone.

3. Fees will be paid by recurring billing though your credit card or direct debiting your bank account. Cash payments are not accepted.

3a. Direct debits are collected by Ezidebit, so please note that “Ezidebit” will be shown on your statement. There is a 'missed payment' fee from Ezidebit, so if you cannot meet a payment, contact us to reschedule the payment.

4. Recurring billing schedules and fixed period fees are not modified due to class or venue changes, public holidays or other reasons.

5. Recurring billing payment schedules started after the membership has begun will have outstanding payments processed from the nominated account or credit card.

6. Students whose fees are paid by recurring billing will be automatically re-enrolled if they have not notified us of cancellation by the last day of the re-enrolment period.

7. Changes to fees will be advised by email to the address you gave us last. You authorise us to modify the recurring billing schedule in line with price changes.

8. Introductory Period: We want to give students and parents the chance to try out our classes without any ongoing financial commitment. Intro period runs to an agreed period between the instructor and the student/s.

9. Introductory period students may cancel at any time. After the introductory period, students may discontinue or choose a suitable membership plan. Students will be automatically re-enrolled if they have not notified us of cancellation by the last day of the introductory period. You will be notified a week prior to the end of the introductory period. Unless otherwise notified by the student, the re-enrolment will be to a the 'Unlimited' membership.

10. Absences: Students may attend an alternate class in lieu of any missed classes.

11. Cancellations Policy: Commitment is an important part of martial arts. With the exception of students in their introductory period who are working out whether our classes are right for them, students who are re-enrolled for a membership plan are expected to finish the plan. The plan that begins after the four week trial is a 3 month plan.

a. Cancellations must be made in writing to Taekwondo Canberra through our email: hwajusin@gmail.com

b. Cancellations must be made to our offices email, not to instructors.

c. There are no refunds for cancellations other than a 7 day cooling period for memberships purchased online through our website shop.

d. There is a 4 week cancellation period after a cancellation email has been received. Term memberships being paid with regular payments will continue to be invoiced till the end of the term payments.

e. There are no cancellation fees for students in their trial period.

12. Absences of more than 2 weeks due to medical reasons are eligible to have payment credit for classes missed applied to their fees, but only after the trial and the 3 month membership have been completed. For longer absences a medical certificate may be requested.

13. Pauses, or suspensions, to recurring billing schedules or payment credit are available to families who have a pre-planned absence of more than half the membership plan with quarterly and monthly plans. You must notify us prior to this period. Fortnightly & weekly recurring billing schedules are eligible for suspension in fortnightly blocks to a maximum of 3 months with exceptions considered by management. Otherwise suspension and cancellations longer than 3 months will incur renewed joining fees if students return to training. If there have been any price rises, these will also apply.

14. We reserve the right to change class times, venues or instructors at our discretion at any time. Every effort will be made to find a suitable alternative.

15. Classes will be held on Public Holidays except Good Friday, Easter Saturday & Anzac day. Keep an eye on the calendar for these classes Students may attend an alternate class in Lieu of classes not held.

16. Communication from us: It is your responsibility to read correspondence sent to your nominated email address and phone number. This includes checking spam filters.

17. If you are not receiving statements and announcements it is your responsibility to call 0478 214 445 or email hwajusin@gmail.com and help us to update your details so you can receive important communications regarding you or your child’s training.

18. Contact details: It is your responsibility to provide accurate contact details including phone numbers, email address and postal address.

19. Changing contact details: It is your responsibility to update contact details with us when they change.

22. Personal Attire: Taekwondo Canberra's branded uniform must be worn when attending your classes.

23. Changes to Terms and Conditions. Taekwondo Canberra reserves the right to change the terms and conditions from time to time. In the event of changes to any of these conditions, we will notify you of such changes by one or some of the following: published in our newsletter, or posting a notice on our website, or writing to the address you last gave us (e-mail or mail).

24. Acceptance of Terms and Conditions: The most up-to-date terms and conditions always apply. By continuing to pay subsequent membership plan fees, you agree to the current terms and conditions that apply at that time. You can find copies of the most up-to-date terms and conditions from our website.

Payment confirms your acceptance of the current Terms and Conditions.

25. If information contained within these Terms and Conditions differs from information that is verbally communicated to you by an instructor whether in person at one of our venues, or over the phone, the terms and conditions outlined in most up to date Terms and Conditions will apply.

26. Photos and video may be taken during class and other Taekwondo Canberra events and associated groups. These may be used for promotional purposes for Taekwondo Canberra. If you do not wish to allow pictures and videos of you or your children, you will need to notify us in writing to our email address: hwajusin@gmail.com.
